Name: Johannes Dietrich Braun

12 tips for anyone who want to cycle:

1: go alone or with somebody is a very important question. I would suggest to start with a friend because it makes things easier in the beginning and a bit saver maybe. You can still seperate after a while if it don't works out.

2: get all infos in the internet this days. there are so many cycling webpages with useful information.

3: choose your equipment carefully. It will be with you for a bit and with cheap shit u will not have much fun.

4: choose your bike carefully ( the size and the sattle are very important for no pain later on ). Better a bit heavier (but longer lasting) than fancy alu bling bling. Also as dirtier it looks, as longer it will stay with you.

5: good maps are important. GPS is just extra weight you don't need, except u plan a sahara dessert trip. Take good music with you.

6: always stay cleen ( especialy after having a shit ). Otherwise you will feel what i'm talking about. Cycling pants are bretty useful.

7: always drink enough water and protect yourself from the sun. it's quite easy to forget that.

8: take a proper lock with you and if possible always take your bike in your room.

9: it's much better to have more time than more money.

10: go with the flow and forget the traffic rules from your homecountry. Handlebar mirror is gold worth.

11: You should learn at least a few words in every country you come through. It shows some respect, makes life easier and you will get smiles from the locals.

12: last but not least never forget: most borders are creations in your own mind. You are able to do way more things in life then people usually expect. Take it easy and you will have the best time in ur life !

Johannes Dietrich Braun:

"i want to be a free man, able to do what i want to do, everytime and everywhere. And i wish that one day everybody around the world could be so free as i am. I trust in God and in all good things. I believe we humans are small and little between much bigger things around us, but everyone of us is absolutely individual and neets love and respect. Thats my lifeline. My motto is: `carpe diem et noctem` because life is short and we have to do good things, help the weak ones and to enjoy this life..."
