Dancing on the crater of a volcano

We were dancing there on 3000 meters above sea level.

We were dancing there while we forgotten about who we are and we left our thoughts at the bottom of the mountain.

Our dance does not belong to any category of dances. It was a mere salutation of two lunatics. We were fighting for every meter and dabbling in dirt. But still we were climbing steadily to the place, our ultimate destination. We were not afraid of any delays or being late.

Thunder peal is our alarm and it is calling for us to start our performances soon. Heavy rain is our instrument that creates chaotic rhythms. It is truly magical and amazing.

Adrenalin rushing pushes strong desire into our mind, our veins. Obedience is vividly haunting our thoughts. We possess strong vacuum feelings in our hearts and sparks shies on our eyes.

Our stage – a crater of volcano, truly is an ancient abyss.

Our audiences - motionless stones, lonely ice, sulfur, seductive wind and the ever weak sun.

We are the actors - two lunatics, two madmen under protection of a fortune star. That's why we still on our feets, dancing on the edge, bleeding and craving for the peak of the volcano.

We were dancing and we look straight into chaps of this volcano. We didn’t see any of our own reflections. There were only shapes of imminence.

We danced until the sun leave for the day. We danced until the moon up in the sky smiling at us, maybe for the final time too.

We danced and laughed in each other faces... how ironic, how unforgettable.

We both exhausted and went down to the bottom of the mountain with our glorious fake victory and a strong determination to see a new day tomorrow.

Maybe in our life, all dances are the same. The only thing difference is the stage. Whether it is Sibayak, Sinabung, Bromo or Merapi, there are just titles, nothing more.

It feels strange because insanity caught us more and more each day with every new performance. We lost track of our edge. We do not want to lose a game but maybe soon it will be too late...
